About Our Pearls

China has been producing pearls for centuries but it is only in the last couple
of decades that the Chinese cultured pearl industry has come to dominate the world market. China is a world leader in the production of freshwater pearls
and saltwater pearls. Atelier Couture specializes in handpicking only the
highest quality freshwater pearls and South Sea pearls.

Our freshwater pearl sizes range from 5mm to 13mm. South Sea pearls can
be found in the range of 8mm to 20mm with the average being 13mm.
